Get 'em While They Last... GM's Heritage Collection - ON SALE NOW!!!
21 12 08 - 00:57It's official! GM will run about 25% of it's spectacular Heritage Collection across the auction block next month at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, AZ. .
Over the years, GM has amassed a remarkable collection of one-off prototypes, show cars, 1st or last built vehicles (fresh off the asm line) & many fine examples of the various models that have made the company proud over the decades. This fabulous array of cars is housed in various sites around the country, but the heart of the collection resides in a fairly non-descript industrial building just north of the Warren Tech Center.
The GM Heritage Center serves as a multi-function site, with conference rooms, offices, & the ability to host small events for GM. The Center only infrequently opens its doors to GM employees or to the public via local car clubs that have scheduled tours of the display. The main purpose of this collection is to preserve GM's legacy of cars & trucks by working with other museums & PR Agencies. Vehicles from the collection frequently show up at events like the Woodward Dream Cruise, St Ignace, Pebble Beach, or on display in places like the Henry Ford Museum.
This sale will undoubtedly be filled with a bevy of vehicles guaranteed to tempt you in these stingy times! However, some of these cars will require that you have a "water-cooled" checkbook" with you at the time of purchase. See the complete list in our Forum. GM Collection
