Kim Godak poses as Rosie the Riveter, a Willow Run plant icon from WW2 .

The SaveTheBomberPlant.org campaign, which had until Friday to meet a fund-raising target to prevent demolition, had its deadline extended to May 1.

The Ypsilanti Twp factory that helped win WW2 & put Michigan on the map as the Arsenal of Democracy, was given a temporary reprieve from the Demolition Man. The hard work of a bunch of folks & donors have raised already about $6m to bring a new home to the Yankee Air Museum, where 8,600 B-24 Liberator bombers were built. They have a goal to add $2m more to the building's purchase/renovation fund.

Go to the site & hit the DONATE button to give them a hand.

The tablet comes with 8GB of on-board storage and a microSD card slot and all the usual Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS (with GLONASS) connectivity you could want. The current release is Wi-Fi only, though Samsung is apparently looking to release an LTE model.
