The SaveTheBomberPlant.org campaign, which had until Friday to meet a fund-raising target to prevent demolition, had its deadline extended to May 1.
The Ypsilanti Twp factory that helped win WW2 & put Michigan on the map as the Arsenal of Democracy, was given a temporary reprieve from the Demolition Man. The hard work of a bunch of folks & donors have raised already about $6m to bring a new home to the Yankee Air Museum, where 8,600 B-24 Liberator bombers were built. They have a goal to add $2m more to the building's purchase/renovation fund.
Go to the site & hit the DONATE button to give them a hand.
