Technology BLOWS!

One of the most irritating things in our world today is something that didn't even exist 15 years ago. The "smartphone". We're all addicted to them & we all have good reasons to love/hate the manufacturers, the phone companies, the internet "providers"..

Apple has perfected so very many insidious ways to relieve their customers of their hard-earned cash, that the list seems endless. For example, I really like how the "new" S4 phones have less memory than the same model did 2 years ago. Dropping the memory from 16G down to 8G, forces people to upgrade. Bye-bye $$$

Now Samsung new has added so many of the STUPIDEST features to their new S5 flagship phone, that now it's just another shitty phone, especially when you compare it to the old S3 that I just turned in. Unfortunately, that old S3 is no longer available for purchase. I HATE the S5 so much that I'm taking it back to Sprint, even though I'm going to get stuck with a $35 restocking fee to get rid of this POS phone.

The LATEST & GREATEST SAMSUNG TECHNOLOGY has a slower 4G data connection & you can't multi-task on the the new phone when you could on the old one (ie; can't get data connection while on the phone). It's slower to scan & delete emails than the S3 ever was. The Missed Call display on the Lock Screen show random images, not the person who's call I missed. (Lately, it's been showing Barth. ???) Since I'm no morning person, the screen brightness is horribly overwhelming in the morning & can't be turned down far enough not to blind you in a dark room. BTW, who gives a crap about fingerprint technology? And last, but not least, that stupid charge port cover is REALLY annoying!

It's nice to know that these days, EVERY industry is burdened with a legion of Marketing fucktards & Media Wonks that are making the lives of Engineers miserable across the globe insisting on adding complex features that the customers don't want.

The phone and the store device communicate wirelessly, prompting the user to authorize payment by pressing the phone’s fingerprint sensor instead of swiping a plastic card. Apple Pay uses encrypted codes to protect shoppers’ financial information.
