GM Tarrytown Assembly Plant 1959
02 12 10 - 23:59Photojournalist Fritz Goro had a keen eye & a unique style in his work. In 1959, he spent quite a bit of time walking around General Motor's Tarrytown Assembly Plant documenting how the new Chevrolets were manufactured and assembled. Now courtesy of LIFE magazine, his photographs have been posted online for everybody to enjoy.
Even though these pics were taken 30 years before I worked there, each one of these images brought back a flood of memories from my time in that plant.
Some of my closest friends shared those long days working in the old plant & I know that they'll be thrilled to see these images too!
