Happy Xmas to All that BUY US Made
17 12 10 - 19:01I 100% agree with the sentiment this guy is displaying during this year's festivities. We truly need to support the homegrown business men & women of this great country!
Do the right thing, go buy a fresh cut Christmas tree (Made in USA & renewable). Buy toys that have been made by local artisans for the kiddies, they'll undoubtedly last longer than anything store bought. Shop for your Christmas dinner & ensure that your grocery money stays in the community thru the purchase of local grown meat, poultry, eggs, & veggies.
The jobs you save may be your own or mine.
But be aware that not even Santa or his Elves can help people as stupid as the California IDIOT that owns this truck. (look @ the brand) .
The TX plant that makes the Tundra hired 3200 folks when it opened a few years back. It was in all the newspapers that they would be paid $29 per hour to start. That's a heck of a good starting wage, esp in the South! However, in well under 2 years, 85% of those workers had been fired & replaced with "$10 Temps". No bennies, no security, & a wage that will barely keep their family alive. That was the plan from day 1.
The plant buys VERY LITTLE in this country, despite the millions of tax rebates that the Great State of TX gave Toyota to set up shop there. Everything that goes into the plant goes thru one of 23 keiretsus or sister companies that work inside the plant. Tooling, engines, body parts, heck, even the staples & copy paper are imported from Japan! The plant spends less in the US than it gets in tax incentives from TX. Yet some politicians think that's good business. (wtf??)
