Winter Blues
06 12 08 - 11:19As I sit here in Michigan looking out my office window, watching the falling snow, it reminds me of how much I HATE winter!!! I do have to admit that there are a few good things about this time of year. Wintertime is when we reflect on the fun we had last summer & make plans for when we can bring the rods out again in the spring. Wintertime is when many rodders just fire up a heater & hibernate in their garages until spring.
This is the best time to make those "I'll get around to it" repairs on things that have been bugging us on our cars. Or we can finally get started on those upgrades that we meant to do, but we were having too much fun driving around with our pals. No hot rod is ever done, because we all want to add something new to make it faster, more comfortable, or just more bitchin' than before.
The Singlefinger Special needs new kingpin bushings, as well as a noisey pinion bearing replaced. I have several upgrades in the works, like a Columbia 2-speed rear end, a new race flattie, & a rag top. I can only hope to get them all done this winter, so we'll see what actually gets done.
